Theories versus Conceptual Frameworks

The theoretical foundation and conceptual framework are described in the dissertation checklist. After reviewing this information, you will compare and contrast a theoretical foundation to a conceptual foundation.

To Prepare:

• Review the theoretical and/or conceptual framework section of the quantitative and qualitative dissertation checklists (for Chapter 1).

By Day 3

• Post 1-2 paragraphs in which you compare and contrast a theoretical foundation with a conceptual framework.
• How does a theory differ from a conceptual framework?
• How is a theory similar to a conceptual framework?
