week 5 Reading: This week I would like you to download Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. The book is available as an e-text through the library. You can also purchase a copy of the book through the university bookstore.

Please read pages 22-32, “The Gift of Strawberries.” Be sure to annotate the text well. When you have finished reading the chapter, sit and write for 10 minutes, your first thoughts. Treat this first writing as a focused freewrite. Then when you are done, write a summary of the chapter using no more than three clear sentences.
