What policies and/or programs exist in the US that helps to create and/or alleviate inequality? I want you to think through the various US social programs and give your opinion on their impact on inequality – do they cause the problem, contribute to the solution, or both? What role do the policies these programs grew out of play in the inequality question – are they alone responsible, or do they work in concert with other policies? How do you know?
