Style:   Each essay will be 1500 to 1800 words long (roughly 5-6 pages if you have 1” margins, 12 font, Times New Roman, and double-spaced). Essays less than 1500 words receive an entire letter grade deduction (See Rubric for specific directions). All research papers are to be typed using Times New Roman, 12 pt font with standard one inch margins.  Papers should be double-spaced and submitted as word documents (no PDFs).  In addition to the secondary readings studied in class student must examine at least five primary sources (see weekly modules for primary evidence) to prove essay thesis and paragraph main ideas. No outside research is allowed (points will be deducted for outside sources used unless approved by the instructor).
