This reading response activity will respond to the readings by Olivia Goldhill, S. Craig Watkins, Lilliana Mason, and Barbara Ehrenreich.

In the previous module page, we read about how cultural mythologies pushed in popular culture are shaping our views and our behaviors. For this activity, we will examine the current climate and see if mythologies are changing as the culture evolves into civil unrest and protest.  

Instructions:

1. Upload a media source from the Internet that illustrates one or more points made by the authors (see list above) for this week. A media source can be an article, video clip, social media post, Blog/Vlog, YouTube post, memes, images/photos, television show segment (e.g. A Late Show with Stephen Colbert), etc. You may upload it as a URL link or saved image or PDF document. 

2. Briefly summarize the content and then analyze ONE of the following: 

• how it is reflecting a cultural mythology, or 
• how is it showing an opposing view to a current cultural mythology, or 
• how is it is reflecting a change in a cultural mythology
