Friday, May 7th : The Draft and Working Plan Due by 8:00 a.m. The first 800 words of the Draft consist of describing the controversies and issues you discover about your topic using the template of templates as your structure. Then, the working plan describes how you see the draft developing and what you hope to accomplish in the final paper. Sources need to be included in a bibliography

Final Paper Due on Monday, May 17th by 12 Noon. No late papers will be accepted. The final paper will be at least 2000 words and will present a comprehensive bibliography or works cited page. The final paper will be evaluated by how well it establishes the controversies and engages the counterarguments; presents your own “I say…”; includes thoughtful naysayer arguments; creates bridges between sentences and paragraphs with connecting words, transition words, voice markers, pointing words; effectively sandwiches quotations; develops the “So what?” and “Who cares?” sections. Remember, too, to revise out grammatical mistakes and unnecessary words.
