For this exercise, you are going to evaluate some very typical advertising language. In each sentence, identify the intentional imprecision in the sentence and underline or highlight it. Here’s an example from the handout:

Here’s why I underlined “the feel of”: That gives the illusion that we are talking about silk, an expensive fabric, when the 1reality is that the blouses could be made of anything, including polyester. But the advertiser has not lied.
