The Intersectionality of Inequality Discussion

Please remember that there are a couple of steps to the discussion. The first step is your response, the next is responding to another student. This lets you see another student’s perspective, which is extremely helpful for considering angles to a topic/discussion that you may have missed.

You initial post is due by the end of the day on Thursday, but your response is due by the end of the day on Friday!

Part One: Drawing Connections

In at least 100 words, respond to the following prompt. Taking into account our discussions of inequality and gender, how do the assigned articles this week fit into this conversation? Make some connections between what you read and the lecture (and external video) materials.

Part Two: Literature Reviews

Based on this week’s material, respond to the following in about 100 words. Thinking back on your annotated bibliography and looking forward to your rough draft, what are two articles that you found and can see a connection between? What is the link between the two and what do you think about these two articles in the context of each other? Does having them together make you view one or the other differently than you might without a comparison point? Why?

This is useful for beginning to link your academic articles, which is what you will need to do for your literature review.

Part Three

Make sure to respond to another student!
