For this essay, you should take a position on either knowledge or ethics. In other words, answer one of the following two questions:

• What should feminists think about the nature of knowledge?
• What should feminists think about the nature of ethics?

Both of these questions are rather open-ended an allow for a great latitude in how you approach them, so to be more precise, you should consider the arguments of at least three of the authors we have read on the subject you chose. This does not mean that you cannot bring in earlier authors; it just means that you need to focus the majority of your effort on the works we’ve read since the last essay. Be sure to include an opening paragraph that lays out not only your thesis but how you intend to approach arguing for that thesis.

As you discuss the authors’ arguments, feel free to compare and contrast the views, show the development of a coherent theory across the texts, point out strengths and weaknesses of the various arguments, or take some other approach that makes for a coherent discussion of the different works.
