I would like you to apply one part of Hollander’s argument to a poem we have studied so far. Your post should do the following:

• In the first section of your post (100-150 words), please provide a short quotation from Hollander’s piece that makes a statement about how a refrain can operate or creates meaning. Then explain in a sentence or two what this might mean (as far as you can tell).
• In the second section of your post (200 words), please provide an example of a refrain from one of the poems we have studied so far and explain how Hollander’s statement in part 1 of your post applies to that example and helps us to see something interesting about it.
