University of Southern California Music of the Vietnam War Era Discussion

I’m working on a writing discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

This Discussion Board topic is very broad, and you should have no problem finding information to complete it.

Choose 3 of the topics listed and write a total of 150 words about them (total, not each). A good guideline is 50 words for each topic. As always, you will submit an initial posting of at least 150 words, with 2 original responses to two different classmates at 75 words each. (There are links at the bottom that may help).

1. Music of the Vietnam War Era

2. The “Disco” era

3. Music of Madonna (mainly the 1980’s music)

4. Beginnings of Rap music (be sure to go ALL the way back to the mid-1970’s for this information)

5. What is the importance of social media in getting new music to the public? (Use specific artists and pieces as examples…Lil Nas X and DojaCat come immediately to mind, but you do not have to use them as an example)
