Task one:

Closely read thru and annotate Imagery: You will want to keep it handy, as this lab uses specific portions of it.

Task two:

Review Pearson’s text, Grace After Midnight again, this time locating all the imagery and marking it off by type, in other words, is it visual imagery, tactile imagery, auditory….etc.

Task three: 

Paste/type what you feel is the strongest example of each type into the spaces below –you must find 3 different types!

3. Olfactory Imagery

4. Gustatory Imagery

5. Tactile Imagery

Task four:

Briefly, for each example above, explain how Pearson built the image and how you feel it makes meaning? Why did she use this image? How does it contribute to her argument/theme? Do not say it makes it more interesting, or it draws the reader’s attention (the imagery lesson explains why!)
