North Hennepin Community College Employee Motivation Research Proposal

Research Proposal due September 26 by 11:59 PM on D2L

A proposal should clearly state the core research question(s) of a research project, and it should provide enough context and detail to allow your reader to evaluate the feasibility and terms of your project. This means that it requires completing a fair amount of research so you can frame your questions and name your core sources.

Write a one page, single-spaced, proposal for your research paper, with a brief bibliography). Your proposal should achieve the following goals:

Describe the area of your inquiry. What will you examine in your research?

Articulate your research question(s).

Outline what kind of sources will you examine, how will you examine them, and what do you hope to find when you examine them?

Explain why this research is important. Why should a reader care about the research and writing that you are doing?

List any preliminary arguments you have.

Bibliography (not included in the 500 words): should include your primary sources and at least two secondary sources that you have found on your own. These can change as you do your research.

It should also include any primary or secondary sources you expect to use that are drawn from the syllabus.

It must be formatted according to the MLA style.

This will also be presented to your discussion groups for feedback.
