Pitt Community College Cognitive Skills Developed for Younger Preschoolers Report

 

Instructions:

Activity Plan 4 will be split into 2 parts. Part 1 will be your rough draft of your activity plan and part 2 will be your final submission.

  • PART ONE:
    • For this activity plan, I am giving you free reign! You may choose any age group, any theme, any domain of development, any concept, etc. Be sure to use the correct activity plan (found under the Activity Plan Templates section on Moodle) and answer the following questions as a summary:
  1. What age group is your Activity Plan aimed for and why? (3-4 sentences)
  2. Describe your activity and why you chose to do this activity. (4-5 sentences)
  3. How do your NC Foundation Developmental Indicators match/relate back to the purpose of your activity? (Be VERY specific and write 3-4 sentences for EACH indicator your used)
  4. How do you feel you did (overall) on this Activity Plan? (3-4 sentences)
  5. What is the hardest part? The easiest part? (3-4 sentences)
  • PART ONE Grading:
    • Student has submitted a completed activity plan:
    • Student’s AP template matches the correct age group it is intended for:
    • Student has included all basic information in AP (name of activity, domain, age group, subject, materials, etc.):
    • Student has included the correct number of NC Foundation Developmental INDICATORS for their chosen age group and they match/relate to their activity:
    • Student has submitted open-ended, divergent, questions relating to the activity that spark children’s ability to answer independently and think creatively (number of questions is dependent on age of group):
    • Student has submitted a word-for-word introduction:
    • Student has submitted a detailed step-by-step procedure list:
    • Student has answered all 5 of the above listed questions and included them as a summary to the end of their activity plan (each question must meet sentence specifications and be DETAILED):
  • PART TWO:
    • After I have graded your Activity Plan 4: Part 1, you are to make ALL corrections to the areas where I deducted points from.
  • PART TWO Grading:

Student has submitted corrections to their completed Activity Plan 4: Part 1 (must include all areas where points were deducted from)
