Discuss a specific point from the reading and clearly state whether you are discussing a type of social influence, a specific type of persuasion or influence, and provide an example. You can provide an example from the above quote, from the Jonestown Massacre and cult (the link was attached in this module), or provide an example of your own from other leaders or world events.

For example: On January 6, 2021, people descended in Washington D.C. to object to the certification of the 2020 election results. Would you have joined others in peacefully protesting or joined in with the mob as it stormed the capitol, and if so, would this be due to “social influence” or “persuasion”? Would an individual storm the capitol by themselves? There are many examples you can choose from.
