Title Format Assignment

Please annotate the directions and follow them carefully.

Directions:  You must research and find the proper format for the following titles.  The titles must be formatted to CURRENT MLA standards. Find the correct way the titles should be formatted in an essay.

Rewrite the title using the proper format.  The titles you submit should not be in all capital letters as they appear here.

We are NOT discussing in-text citation and the way a citation  would appear in the MLA Works Cited page (see below). If you post the following, it will be marked wrong.

Use them to guide you as you prepare your analysis of the title.

Listen to the recording after you have annotated the poem.  Do this after you have annotated the poem.  

1. In a short summary, compare and contrast your experience reading the poem silently,  reading it out loud, and listening to the recording.

2. Submit the poem’s theme.

3. Include three pieces of evidence directly from the text (the poem) that supports the theme you have identified. Use quotation marks around the evidence from the text.

4. Then, go back to the “How to Find a Theme” Youtube video. Use three pieces of evidence directly from the video that supports the theme you have identified. Transcribe word-for-word from the video.
