University of California Los Angeles Architectural Styles in an Ideal City Discussion
Considering everything we’ve discussed (in addition to any ideas or discussions from other courses/fields of study) you are going to design an ideal city. This is entirely up to you! Keep in mind the basic needs in urban life: shelter, movement, food, goods. Feel free to sketch out a basic plan with brief descriptions or call outs. This is really up to you as to how to proceed.
You can submit it as one of the following:
– a short write-up/description (200 words)
– a sketch that is hand drawn, with short descriptions of your ideas
– a computer-aided sketch or drawing with short descriptions
– other (I’m open to any ideas that help you express your thoughts in a unique way – so have some fun with this one!!)
