What is the author’s purpose for telling them? Who do you think the central character is in each story? Please respond to this discussion forum after you have read Chapters 2 and 3 and “Story of an Hour” and “A&P.”

(1) Who are the narrators of these two stories? Would you classify either as being an “unreliable narrator”? Why or why not?

(2) Using Freytag’s pyramid (see chapter 2), describe the plot of both stories indicating the key moments in the pyramid in your description.
