What is the responsibility of business to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion—in the workplace and in the public sphere. What does this look like? How does it compare and intersect with responsibility to shareholders?

Read these selections and consider your own experience or observations and write a short reflective essay about some aspect of diversity, equity, and inclusion as they intersect with the business sphere.

This is a BIG topic, so don’t get overwhelmed. Choose one aspect that stands out for you or speaks to you. Maybe look to a phrase or keyword. Form focused thoughts around the causes or effects of inequities and how they relate to you and possibly to your career. This does not need to be a manifesto (in fact, it is probably better if it is not). I am interested in seeing you focus on one corner of the equity conversation and provide some examples to illustrate your thoughts.
