SOC 320 CSU WK 1 The Promise & the Sociological Imagination Discussion

I’m working on a writing discussion question and need a sample draft to help me study.

Week 1: This week you are introduced to thinking sociologically more generally as well as thinking sociologically about the family. Chapter two then introduces you to the ways in which the family structure in the United States has changed over time. Building from the first chapter, you will learn more about what it means to understand the family sociologically and historically.

The result is a clustering of men and women in social strata. For couples in the lowest income strata, even dual-wage earners have very little income, so there are fewer resources available to support the family.
