In this assignment you will extend and deepen your research in the discussion boards to further examine ineffective educational practices. Prior to completing this assignment watch TED (2009, August 25) and read Mishra (2012).

Instructions: To complete this assignment, you will need to do the following:

• First, select three current educational practices that are not effectively preparing learners for future roles and life-long learning.
• Next, evaluate these practices. For each practice:
  • Provide an overview of the practice. Cite at least one source that supports this practice as being ineffective.
  • Describe why the practice is not effective and the impact that this practice has on preparing learners for future roles and life-long learning.
• Provide an example of the practice in action.
• Recommend changes and additional or alternate practices that should be adopted.
