Research and discuss a place (either an entire country or smaller region is fine) where this is the case.

Some issues to consider when writing your essay include:

-What aspects of Western biomedicine are used?
-What aspects of traditional healing are used?
-When do people turn to Western biomedical practitioners and when to the local healers?
-Why do people use both systems rather than just one?
-Do the two systems support one another or contradict one another? Are the practitioners of each friendly or hostile to the other’s work?
-Do the two systems offer similar or different explanations for disease/illness?
