1. Here’s one that should be interesting to think about and write! Your task:
   Using the Relationship Stages Model (Figure 7.3 in your text) analyze one of YOUR Interpersonal relationships – a friend, significant other, etc. 
   • You must select a relationship that has lasted (or lasted) at least one year. (Remember, relationship does not have to mean romantic relationship and not all relationships go through all stages before they decline!) You MUST use Knapp’s terminology to complete your analysis. Describe the communication that occurred in each stage to demonstrate your understanding of this model. Describe at least 5 stages of the relationship you use.
   • Following your analysis based on the model, discuss the roles each person “plays” in the relationship. One person can play many roles in a relationship with another, such as: confidante, advisor, mentor, etc.
   • There is no minimum length, BUT one or two word bullets are NOT acceptable! Use at least three or four complete sentences to explain each relationship stage!
   • You should use terms and ideas from the textbook throughout your analysis.
