The first part of. the paper is talking about the topic and theory (Literature Review), and the second part which is shorter, is having an application like an intervention that can help the topic. For example, this is what I would like my topic and application to be: “The effect of past memories on a current relationship” (title can change, but please keep the topic the same, my class is all about emotion and cognition btw)-

– For my topic, I would like to focus on when individuals remember a past negative memory specifically in their relationship, and they become full of anger and rage towards their partner. I am not quite sure of the title, but it might be something like “ How negative memories cause explosions of rage and can break relationships”. I researched articles about how emotional memories affect us, but I think I need some guidance on the specifics and what triggers individuals to think about those.-

– For my application, I would like to have individuals that struggle with anger to take anger management for couples classes and give psychoeducation on what triggers those negative images to come back memory suppression, and how they can cope and accept the past it in a healthy way instead of creating arguments and fights that can impact the romantic relationship.
