Students will complete one (1) book review for the course. Students will select one book from the course reading list (see book list above) to read and review. A Critic’s Workshop will be delivered in an asynchronous, online environment, whereby course mentors interact with students in small groups to discuss effective book review strategies. The review should draw heavily on literary theory and literary critique as developed within course (from lectures and journal articles) in addition to the student’s personal evaluation of the book.
