Bivariate and Multivariate Statistical Analysis

Bivariate analysis (whether or not two variables are related, simple linear regression analysis)

Multivariate analysis (Is the relationship between variables spurious, meaning are the two variables separately related to the third variable? Multiple regression analysis)
