Part of this assignment is to show that you have read, under­stood, and evaluated various readings for the ques­tions you choose. 

1. So far, the administration of President Joe Biden has not changed most of Trump’s trade policies, including the “national security” tariffs on steel and aluminum and the tariffs on imports from China, as the new administration say it’s still reviewing U.S. trade policy and policy toward China generally. What advice would you give the Biden administration for whether it should keep, abolish, or modify these types of tariffs and the “trade war” with China? [Please do not address USMCA or other specific trade agreements, as those are covered in other questions. Please do base your argument on what you think these tariffs have or have not achieved.] You can start your readings with the ones in the Module for Topic 6, and you should also find and discuss others to get other viewpoints.
