1. According to the articles, what stereotypes are present in modern day films? Are these stereotypes (gender, culture, personality, etc.) presented often more correct or incorrect? Lastly, are these stereotypes hurtful to society, or can we learn from them (or both)? Explain your answer.

2. Answer Denby’s question posed in paragraph 4: “Do genre films reflect society? Or are they merely a set of conventions that refer to other films?” Remember that you don’t have to just talk about teen films in this post. You could discuss any genre film (horror, western, romantic comedy, etc.).

3. Postrel states argues that the glamour in superhero movies inspires audiences. What movie inspired you the most? Please also explain why/how it inspired you and in what ways? Note – There are many ways you might have been inspired by a film. You could have been inspired in a large or small way, by a specific character or the whole movie, by the theme, plot, or artistry.
