I need an explanation for this Humanities question to help me study.

Write an essay which describes “Simulation” on American Media with examples. Students may present the portrayal of American media such as TV shows, music video, movie, magazine, billboards,  street signs, and etc based on  Jean Baudrillard’s “Simulation” theory. 

American media has long history to use airbrush and photoshop to enhance/dramatize the image not only in the fashion field but nesws shows. Female models get shed body shape and add more glows in the skin to emphasize sexiness. The breast gets pushed up and waist is getting  smaller.  Models and actresses have never been aged or changed ever.  Pores, winkles, blemishes, and freckles are always diminished from the skin and legs and arms are elongated.  Mass substitutes enhanced image(simulation) for  reality and believes simulation as  hyper- reality.

Then here we can have one question : Why does American media engage in simulation? and what is their purpose to adopt simulation?
