What are the challenges of the single parent? And this research focus is also seen in other contexts like media portrayals of single, divorced, and step families.

For this discussion reflection, you should reflect on the assets that each of these families have. Specifically outline what you think are the strengths for each type of family category. Note what these assets/strengths mean for the parent(s) in each category (in terms of their parenting qualities and opportunities) and note what positives there are in each of these categories. As a final piece of your reflection, describe how you would advocate for one of these families out in the field (e.g., workshop you would develop, as a teacher in the classroom, podcast you would create).
