ART 120 CCSU Using Typographical Elements in an Abstract Design Paper

Prior work has concentrated on design strategies that enable the
student artist different ways to organize a picture. One can choose
from strategies centered on balance, focus, color, unity, repetition in
combination in intuitive or conceptually determined ways.
It is important that this last project demonstrates an awareness of
these concepts and an ability to apply them in a self-determined
composition. You will determine the techniques and the medium. You
can approach this challenge purely by hand, or digitally, or, a
combination of the two.
The artists of the Da-Da movement, a World War 1 era
proto-surrealist art style, often used letter forms in their collages. The
meaning was visual rather than literal. Kurt Schwitters was a German
artist who was a primary practitioner of this kind of art. Other Da Da
artists were Sophie Tauber-Arp, Hans Arp, Francis Picabia and
Marcel Duchamp, to name a few. see attached instructions also attached student samples something similar to this please take a pic of the art work if digitally which is better please sent the photo. attached is the samples letters you will have to use. thank you
