ESSAY #2 TOPIC:

Write about a time in your own life where you might have experienced prejudice and/or discrimination because of your own group membership, beliefs, appearance, etc.  Describe how this treatment made you feel, your own cognitive thoughts/reactions toward it, and what you did about it.  

OR, if you prefer,

Describe a time where YOU, yourself, were prejudiced toward and/or discriminated against another individual because of his or her group membership, beliefs, appearance, etc.  Explain what you said or did  and discuss how the other person reacted.  

IMPORTANT:  Make sure to include some description/application of specific course material in your discussion whenever possible.  In doing so, please BOLD or underline the relevant class concept(s) you include in your essay so it is “salient” and captures my attention.
