It is the psychologist’s responsibility to ensure they are adhering to standard assessment procedures when administering the test and other assessments. However, in some cases, the psychologist may need to deviate from the standardized manner of an assessment. Why is it important to consider the special assessment needs of persons with disabilities or diverse linguistic/cultural backgrounds when giving an assessment?
