Organic pattern: design comprised of organic motifs or irregular shapes or lines; or, a a depiction of organic texture, such as bark

All-over pattern: the same designs covers the whole area without the distinction of a focal point

• Asymmetrical balance: the focal point is off center and balance is achieved by disparate visual means

Bilateral symmetry: the design is divided by a central axis and the pattern forms a mirror image on either half of the axis

• Radial balance: the design is circular and may appear as if organized around a central focal point
