My organism is B. cereus

Your lab report will be based on an investigation into a random bacterial organism. Think about why you would be doing this kind of lab when you write this lab report. For example, maybe you have isolated an organism from a sick patient and want to analyze it.

You will need to come up with a hypothesis, results, discussion and conclusion. Your methodology section need not be more than stating that you performed e.g. a gram stain. In your results section, you must provide pictures of the results for each of the tests you ran. These can be taken directly from your atlas… or google… and do not need to be specific to your organism. For example, you can show me the results for an MR testt that was done on E.coli even if you have B.subtilus (assuming they would have the same results). Follow the same format as the first lab report.

Think hard about your discussion/conclusion section. What do your results tell you about your organism? Does your organism only grow aerobically? What does this tell you about its habitat? Is it gram negative? Does this make it easier or harder to kill with antibiotics? Do a little extra research and come up with two to three solid discussion points. Do NOT just restate your results.

You need to run the following tests on your organism.

Gram Stain

Fermentation of sugars

Salt, pH, Temperature

Imvic testt (MR, VP, citrate, H2S)

Urea

Catalase

Oxidase

Oxygen

In addition, are there any differential or selective media would be useful to grow this organism on? First file thats how its supposed to look, second file thats my first lab report. Third file this grading policy.
