Writing Homework Help
University Of Massachusetts Boston Being Stable in Adulthood Discussion
I’m working on a writing question and need an explanation to help me study.
Adulthood is often riddled with sayings such as “midlife crisis”, and “middle-aged spread” that depict this stage of life as something to be dreaded. In reality, these sayings are far from reflecting the truth of the development that can and often does occur during these years. Many adults feel healthier, smarter, and are more pleased with themselves and their lives during these years than before. Others are burdened with health problems, a decline in intellectual powers, or unexpected responsibilities for aged parents, adult children, and/or their spouses. Think about two individuals you know who are in this stage of life: one who is faring well, and one who is not faring well.
Then answer the following questions:
What differences do you see between the two individuals?
To what would you attribute these differences?
What does this exercise teach you that may charter your own path toward (or during) adulthood?
