In their own ways, these articles and media argue about problems we encounter in trying
to understand cultural identity, privilege in America, and gender identity. Some of these articles
and media even pose solutions to some of these problems. These three topics are too much to
cover in one essay. Choose one topic and synthesize points from as least one article and one
piece of media to answer the following: What does cultural identity, or privilege in America, or
gender identity mean to you? What do you see as the problem(s) with any of these three topics?
And what might the possible solution(s) be so that we live in a just and equitable society? Where
appropriate, cite any of the other articles to support your claims. Remember that you are
encouraged to use personal experiences as anecdotal evidence “when appropriate” for your larger
argument. Keep your anecdotal evidence very limited and it should “only” support your analysis;
