For this assignment and all following assignments, you will select a business to be the recipient of these social media strategies. You are encouraged to use a real business or organization in order to gain practice providing these services, but you may also use the fictional business, Colonized Coffee.

Instructions

Section 1: Blog Proposal

Create a 2–3 page paper in which you will cover the following:

1. Keeping in mind the business that you have selected for your scenario, include the name of the business and a short paragraph on the product or service that the business provides. Next, specify the blog’s main target market information (i.e., demographic information, psychographic information) and the need that the blog will address for the target market.
2. Specify the main purpose and benefits of the blog, and predict the main influence of the blog on the marketing strategy for the chosen company.
3. Develop a mechanism (e.g., providing a communication avenue back to the blogger, asking questions relevant to the subject matter and the target market) geared toward encouraging interaction from the target market. Provide a rationale for your response.

Section 2: Blog Post

• Create your own blog as a document. For more information on types of blogs and how to set them up, read How To Start a Blog – Beginner’s Guide for 2020.
  • Note: If you choose to submit your blog post as a document, you will need to complete one additional step to confirm you are able to set up a blog.
• The topic for this blog post is open ended. Your blog post should be designed to meet the needs of the target market, gain readership, and create content that will keep the target market coming back.
• Review How To Promote Blog Posts For Maximum Visibility, which demonstrates best practices such as white space, hyperlinks, share buttons, headings, and fonts for emphasis. This example guide is not only a formatting guide, but should also be used as a resource for promoting your blog post.
