Using the sources, you found for your Annotated Bibliography, write a literature review that:

• Synthesizes (summarizes) the literature you have compiled as part of your research
• Critiques the literature you have compiled for your research
• Builds an argument for why it is necessary for your study to be done
• States your research question

Note that a literature review is not simply a recitation of your sources. It is a synthesis of available research on your topic and an analysis of how your research will build on that which has already been done.

Requirements

Your literature review should:

• State your research objective or question
• Use a minimum of 10 academic sources (this will require some additional research beyond your annotated bibliography)
• Synthesize (summarize) the body of knowledge on your research topic
• Critique the literature (e.g. what does it help you understand, what questions does it answer, what questions does it raise, what was left unanswered, etc.)
• Builds an argument for why it is necessary for your research to be done
