Writing Homework Help

Need help with my Writing question – I’m studying for my class.

Think about all the writing you’ve done in the last week, both for school and out of school. And the last month. The last year. Your whole life!

Pick two pieces of writing (of any kind) that you’ve done in your life that used different mediums. For example, choose one email and one hand-written note. Or one blog post and one text. Or one PowerPoint presentation and one message via skywriting.

In about 150 words, compare and contrast how the medium impacted the messages in the two pieces of writing you chose.

For example, did you include five paragraphs in a text message? Did you include an emoji in a text message? Did you include an emoji in your lab report? Did you include a bar graph in your PowerPoint slide? Did you include a bar graph in your text message? Why and/or why not? These may seem like silly questions, but they get us thinking about medium–and thinking about medium is not silly!
