WU The Complex Coaching Process Simple Cycle of Planning Discussion

I need an explanation for this Psychology question to help me study.

There is not one agreed-upon version of the coaching process. In fact, there are many versions, each that includes a series of phases generally aimed at identifying the problem, brainstorming solutions, and implementing solutions. Another commonality in various versions of the coaching process is the recommendation that coaches ask open-ended questions to elicit thoughts or ideas from clients. For instance, asking questions such as the following can help encourage accountability and buy-in from clients: “What do you think is the problem? What is the impact of the problem? What solutions can you think of that might resolve the problem?” Encouraging accountability and buy-in from clients early on is vital and may help prevent roadblocks from occurring throughout the coaching process.

To prepare for this Discussion:

  • Review this week’s Learning Resources. In particular, focus on Chapters 6, 7, and 8 from the e-brary text, Therapist Into Coach.
  • Consider the different phases of the coaching process, reflect on the importance of each, and think about challenges that might arise in each.
  • Identify two phases you believe to be the most important to the coaching process and consider why.
  • Reflect on at least two challenges that might occur in the phases in the coaching process you identified. Then consider how you might address each.

With these thoughts in mind:

By Day 4

Post a brief description of two phases in the coaching process you believe to be most important and explain why. Then describe at least two challenges you might encounter as a coach with regard to the phases you described. Finally, explain how you might address each. Be specific.

Note: Identify the phases of the coaching process you discussed in the first line of your post.
