University of Paris Nature of Sin in Christianity and Buddhism Paper

I’m studying for my Humanities class and need an explanation.

Both the reading from Augustine of Hippo, The City of God and from Martin Luther’s “The Freedom of a Christian” discuss the nature of sin in Christianity.

How would you describe the understanding of “Sin” in Christianity, especially in the way that Augustine or Luther understood it. Be careful, if you have an idea of the concept of “Sin” in Christianity today, that you don’t assume that this is how Christians have always understood it (or even that all Christians understand it this way). You can talk about some of the changes and differences over time, but try to see if you can get a “big picture” understanding of it. Then, discuss how “Sin” is similar and/or different to Buddhism and what you think the problem is for that other religion
